WELLOG                          DAQ HARDWARE

Modern data logging requires a computer based system. Computers are digital and the signals that are most often logged are analog. In order to convert analog signals to digital, a circuit called an analog to digital converter (ADC) is used. Many companies have developed boards that perform analog to digital conversion for personal computers. Data acquisition (DAQ) boards are supplied by WELLOG.

EXTERNAL OR INTERNAL:

External acquisition boards connect to serial, parallel, and USB ports. Internal boards or cards connect to the personal computer ISA, PCI and PCMCIA connectors. Internal Boards are limited in the number of connectors available.

NUMBER OF INPUTS:

DAQ cards can have 8 or more analog voltage inputs. Analog inputs may be single-ended (ground referenced) or differential (floating).

SAMPLING RATE:

Sampling rates may vary from one or more samples per second to millions of samples per second.

Signal sampling may be performed based on an interval of time, operator input, or an external event known as an external trigger.

RESOLUTION:

DAQ systems have the ability to resolve signals to 10 bit, 12 bit and 16 bit precision.

WELLOG LOGGING SYSTEMS:

WELLOG produces high speed serial/USB DAQ systems for logging applications. These DAQ systems will work with any MS DOS or MS Windowstm laptop or desktop PC. High level software provides a friendly, easy to use, user interface using “virtual panels”.

WELLOG v20 Logger:

The WELLOG 20 Logger is a 20 MHz (5 MIPS) data logging acquisition system. It uses proprietary software developed at WELLOG for data acquisition, data logging and closed loop control applications. This system has 8 channels of 10 bit A/D input.

 WELLOG v30 Logger:

The WELLOG 30 Logger is a 40 MHz (10 MIPS) data logging acquisition system. It uses proprietary software developed at WELLOG for data acquisition, data logging and closed loop control applications. This system has 16 channels of 10 bit A/D input.

WELLOG v40 Logger:

The WELLOG 40 Logger is a 40 MHz (20 MIPS) data logging acquisition system. It uses proprietary software developed at WELLOG for data acquisition, data logging and closed loop control applications. This system has 16 channels of 10 or 12 bit A/D input. It uses a Digital Signal Controller.

WELLOG has stand alone DAQ systems with LCD display for applications that do not require a PC.

WELLOG also has Laptop computer based PCMCIA DAQ systems available for Data logging.

WELLOG has a NEW addition – a standalone 10 channel memory Logger with integrated 16GB SD Memory card!

WELLOG can provide logging software for any application.
